Chuck Denver is our music man, and will play all of the Great American Music of the 60s and 70s weekday mornings. Chuck was born in Colorado, where his parents lived in the Mork & Mindy house in Boulder…yes, that big white house from the TV show. He loves listening to all genres, but is kinda partial to Classic Hits, and Chuck still emcees local classic car shows from time to time. It’s been 34 years (and counting) since Chuck hit the airwaves.
Steve Shoffner has been on the radio a long time too…Steve has been reporting the news for us for over 25 years! Listen for local news at the top and bottom of the hour during the mornings, and also at 9am, 12noon and 5pm.
Troy Baumgartner has been a member of WLEC since 2009 where he started as a board op for high school football games. He is passionate about sports, especially baseball and rooting on the Cleveland Indians, Browns and….the Michigan Wolverines (gasp). He also loves spending time with his wife Emily and two kids Maclin and Charlotte. In his free time, he loves to golf, play softball and hang out with friends and family.
BILL KNIGHT 10am-3pm
Bill is a radio veteran who grew up in Fresno California, where he began his radio career while in High School. In his free time, he’s a motorcycle enthusiast and also loves travel, spending time with family and friends and most all outdoor recreation. He is also heavily involved with the community and church.
3PM-8PM – DOC JARNAGIN
Doc grew up on Memphis radio back in the mid-70’s and throughout the 80’s where Rick Dees got his start. Instead of watching TV in the family room, Doc was in his room listening to the radio and falling in love with the medium. He still believes in the magic radio can bring. Radio reflects lifestyles with music, information, and personality, and Doc loves being a part of that, forever remembering his days as that kid in his room being drawn to the power of radio.
Byrd worked in Chicago for many years. He is an avid concert goer and has interviewed many artists in his career. Byrd loves playing the WLEC Great American Hits of the 60’s and 70’s as he learned to love the music his parents listened to as a youngster. Byrd keeps you company every weeknight!
