The News Department also produces our public affairs program, North Coast Journal.  This long form interview program offers conversations with area news makers and regional topics of interest.  We will post the interview segments here for your on demand listening.

North Coast Journal can be heard every Sunday morning on all three of our stations, including at 6 AM on WLEC and at 7 AM on both WCPZ & WMJK.  Shows can also be heard at approximately 12:30 PM on select weekdays.

Sandusky Police Department

John Orzech, Chief of the Sandusky Police Department stopped by our studios recently to discuss the latest news and happenings within the department, including current staffing levels and scheduling needs.  He also talked about his departmental goals for 2017 and how he believes the city will continue to grow in the coming years – with the police department keeping pace with any new development options.

The Utopia Pipeline Project

Allen Fore, Vice President of Public Affairs for the Kinder Morgan company stopped by our studios for a discussion about the $500 million Utopia Pipeline project.  Construction is expected to begin in 2017 and property acquisition is well underway and regulatory approvals are also being completed.  The latest status of the project and what local residents can expect to see during construction were all discussed in our two part interview.
