About the Rotary Clothes Kids Program:
Rotary Clothes Kids is a program that allows children from Sandusky who might not otherwise have the opportunity to go clothes shopping for themselves with one of two Rotarians just before Christmas. As the name suggests, the shopping list is Clothes only. A parent or guardian provides a shopping list with the most needed clothing items and sizes. Rotarians and some added volunteers are matched with a child and take a $125 – $145 Gift Card and then shop with the child. The child gets to pick the clothing item’s color and theme and is assured of their choice on that shopping day. The Pizza Challenge combined with some ongoing donations, assures that 35 to 40 kids a week for 5 consecutive Saturdays get their Clothes each Christmas Season.
